Fortitude Soccer Institute started off as the name for a potential new soccer club. But Fortitude Soccer Institute is not a soccer club.
FSI is a place for soccer people to try to learn something new. It will be full of different articles and resources focused on many different aspects of the game. We will focus our attention on helping coaches build relationships with their players and parents, how to handle different situations, view and critically think about the game they are watching and many other topics.
Think of FSI as a place to go to go deep into different topics that will help coaches become better for their players, help players understand the process and what is most important in development and enjoyment and finally where parents can come to learn more about the youth soccer landscape and how to partner with their club.
Why the lion? A lion symbolizes strength and courage and fortitude is the mental and emotional strength, courage, and resilience that allows a person to endure pain, danger, or adversity calmly and patiently. Fortitude is a key quality for any player, parent or coach. Being able to deal with adversity is a key skill for anyone to possess.
